Extended Stay America Hotels

So I'm going to be taking a trip and I'm looking at hotels along the way. I'm looking at the ones in one particular area and the Extended Stay America is a lot cheaper than the other hotels in the area. Almost half as much as the others. Anyone know why it's so cheap? I was thinking bad neighborhood but it's right near the other hotels. Anyone ever stay at an Extended Stay America before?

I stayed at one in Las Vegas, and it was a good experience. There was no room service and you had to walk and get your own towels from a closet, but with the money you save, I can handle that 🙂

Don't they have a fairly long minimum stay? My friend stayed in one in DC for almost a year while he was working there (govt put him up). It was pretty nice.

I stayed at one in St. Louis and i'd take it over the Marriot in a second. They're huge, have a comfy chair, and the one I had had a 'food bad' on the ground floor which was dirt cheap. The bar was a little weird though, it was on the honor system, take what you want, read the price, and put the money into a slot. One day some hobo is going to clean them out

I've stayed at Extended Stay America and it was nice.

It's more like a mini-furnished apartment which has room service a few times a week.

It was cheap, clean, quiet and well furnished. I'd stay there again.

Well we ended up staying with my friends, so I didn't stay there. They are Italian and were very mad with me for even thinking about staying in a hotel while i was visiting them, lol.
