About 5 years ago I took over the family farming operation from my grandfather which he started in 1950. In about 1952 him and my grandmother built a shed with an adjoining shop which he has been using ever since. The shop works great it just needed a little expansion and some TLC. Over about 4 days, my grandfather who is 94 years old and I expanded the shop and took care of the clutter. I just wanted to share the results.
State original shop
New wall studs going up.
I tried to match the stud spacing from the old wall so I could use the old lumber and do as little cutting as I had to.
Old wall going down.
Tried to reuse as much of the existing lumber that I could.
Grandpa helping out with the 1x12 lumber pieces.
New wall completed.
Old wall down, lots of clutter left over.
Final state of everything.
So much more space.
The boss making sure everyone is working hard.
