i've got a laptop (dell b130) that has an express card slot on the side. is this the same as a pcmcia slot? i was looking to purchase a tv tuner pcmcia card but i don't know if it would fit. thanks in advance for feedback.
ExpressCard is the replacement for PC Card ("PCMCIA"). And according to people who should know, you can't use PC Card devices in your ExpressCard slot. You can plug them in and not damage them, but they won't work.
One of my clients has the same problem and we've found a PCMCIA 3G Card Reader for USB (U111-530/630) and an USB Adapter for Cardbus Wireless Modem 3G Card (U132). And we'll buy the seond one that solves our probelm.
