Express 1MX shirts

I bought a light blue 1MX several years ago and it's a great shirt...the cut of the shirt and the stiffness of the collar wearing with a jacket is perfect. Last Friday I bought a few for $20 (french blue, white, and light beige) during their morning sale. I wore the french blue last weekend and ran it through the wash yesterday (cold water, hang dry). This morning it took me forever to iron out all the wrinkles, and I could see it already starting to fade. Not only that, but there were these small white patches starting to form on it.

I compared it to my old 1MX, same M size. The old one is made in Turkey, has thicker buttons, feels stiffer, and is about a 15-32/33. The new one is made in Indonesia, has cheaper buttons and is cut bigger, about 15 1/2-34/35. The new one also recommends dry cleaning the shirt whereas the old one only has the wash instructions.

Express sucks  A shirt shouldn't have to be dry cleaned to keep it from falling apart on the first wash.

All mine are Turkey, bought them last year.

Grrr, now I have to find another brand that I like. I don't like the BR ones cause the cut is too baggy for me.

should have followed the wash instructions.....

although dry cleaning for a $20 shirt seems excessive...

thanks for the tip. I will start "Turkey" hunting. (I found a 1MX shirt in Marshalls for 16.99 before)

Express sucks and I don't know why anyone would shop there in the first place.
Because they have fantastic jeans and cheap cheap prices during their sales.
The fading/patching/wrinkling is a "known issue" and has been for at least a year, so I don't know that it was necessarily the Turkey->Indonesia switch.

i have a light blue Turkey 1mx shirt... fit IS great - no doubt. on the first wash (cold water, little detergent, gentle cycle), it developed 3 spots on the armpit area (1 on left 2 on right)...
shame... fit is great for the price, though

bought a pair of jeans there last weekend... nice stuff, regardless

The 2 structure shirts I have have the exact same cut as the 3 express shirts I have. They seem to be the same to me. /shrug
