Ok, so I made this movie, it's about 2:30 long, and has a bunch of sound FX, differnet clips, etc. I have exported at least 10 times using different setting/compressors, but the end result is always slow, choppy, and get stuck in some parts. About half of the exports were in DivX 5.whatever, a couple in quicktime, and a couple using Cinepak. All of them turned out like crap.

So can anybody tell me what combination of settings and compressors I should use to get good, clean video, preferrably with a short render time? The previous version of DivX seemed to work better...so I don't know..

divx in premiere? doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Use Quicktime with Sorenson compression. Also note that Premiere is absolutely terrible for compressing stuff...use something like Media Cleaner Pro.
