Export messages in Outlook

I'm trying to export my email messages from Outlook 2002 into a tab delimited file so that we can import them into our database here at work. The Export works fine, but it doesn't export the date and time!! How could Microsoft have forgotten about this information? Does anyone know how I can get this information added to the export or know of a program that can export from Outlook 2002?
 
just export as a *.pst file should im,port beatifully into most compatible apps
tab/comma delineated files are teh sh!te
 
CSV does the exact same thing as tab. it does not show the date!

I need the file to open in Excel. Unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to open an .pst file in Excel.
