ExplorerXP

I recently tried ExplorerXP because its multi-tabbed (ala FireFox) and has qutie a few other cool tools built in that makes Windows' built in Explorer seem rather no frills. I like the grid lines and the multi-file rename as well - but overall I'm simply not pleased with a lot of the quirks that it has. It doesn't refresh files very quickly, and sometimes not at all until I go to another folder and come back. Very annoying. Lots of other little things about it bother me too, but I hate to go back to plain old Windows Explorer now either.

Basically, does anyone have any other applications I can try in this vein? It doesn't have to be freeware, but thats preferred. I've heard of some other variations on this software but can't remember their names. Let me know what you guys have tried and liked. ExplorerXP was almost right for me, just not quite. I miss XTree Gold and hope to find something like that only with a fancy GUI. Thanks.

I kinda missed the old Windows 3.1 Filemanager. Unlike the explorer, it places your drives at the top so you can access each a la tab style.

Being a long time XTree user, I understand why you miss it. But, it is reborn as ZTree, and has just released a new version. It loves XP.

I know this is off topic, but I sure wish I could find a proggy that could handle file copying elegantly. One of the things that really pisses me off is copying a whole bunch of files and right in the middle of it all, the copy process ends because one file couldn't be copied. Almost as bad is copying lots of files and seeing that it's going to take a little while, you go off to take a piss or something, and when you come back, you see that the copying has stopped just about when you left because it's asking if you want to overwrite a file.

I'd like a program that will copying without stopping, then at the end of the copying provide results as to which files weren't able to be copied, which files are requesting premission to overwrite, and a feature to rollback the copying process if needed. But I guess that's asking too much of the geniuses at Microsoft.
