I am experiencing a problem when running an application in Win98 SE that was created using Macromedia Authorware.
When starting the software or making a menu selection within the running program, I am experiencing about a 30 sec. delay before continuing. It appears that the mouse is also frozen during this delay.
I discovered quite by accident that the software performed as expected, ie no delay, if Explorer was "ended tasked" after a three finger salute without rebooting, so I thought the probelm might be with one of the programs that are launched at boot. I used msconfig to eliminate all items from startup sequence. Still get 30 sec. delay until Explorer is "ended."
What's going on and how do I fix it?
Software runs normally on a laptop running Win 95.
Thank you for your time and attention.
Mr. Bill
