Explorer locks up-PSU problem?

My computer frequently freezes (several times a day) while I am using internet explorer. The system has no problem at all running folding@home, Tribes2 or any other intensive applications, but when I am just doing web browsing (or other low-load tasks) the computer freezes and I have to do a hard reboot. I think the possible problems might be either my generic ram or the cheap power supply that came with my case. I've heard that if the idle voltage for the 5V line is less than 4.9 it leads to problems. According to motherboard moniter my 5V line is around 4.6. Could this be causing my problems? I am real baffled about why my computer has more problems the less it is doing.😕

So many possibilities. Could be a software issue, or several hardware issues.

A quick check would be to switch out with another power supply from an available computer. That's not that big of a hassle.

Bottom line is that if you have run this setup previous to now w/o any problem it is most likely a software problem. You could try and do a recovery if that is the case. If this is a new setup then power supply may be the problem. Try some different memory too, if you can get your hands on it.
