I had my computer on for about 2 days without a restart during which I installed SongSpy and CDex. After restarting for some reason, MSIE and folders began to load up very slowly. If I double clicked on a shortcut to my D: drive, it would take about 10 seconds for the window to pop up. Sub folders within the window load up normally. MSIE also takes about 10 seconds to load up. I found that if I right click on a folder an select "Explore" it loads up instantly. The "Open" command is what takes 10 seconds to work. EDIT: Explore also loads up slowly now.
I'm running:
TBird 1400
ECS K7S5a
512MB Crucial DDR
20GB WD 7200 ATA/100 hdd as primary
30GB WD 7200 ATA/100 hdd as backup
Windows 2000 SP2
Any ideas? Thanks.
