I hate explorer for this. I would like to return to the Win98 explorer!

Anyways, I hate showing explorer in web page format. I turned all that off. I also hate folder customizing.

I'm trying to get explorer NOT to show stuff such as the duration of video and audio files. I don't want it to show dimensions of video clips and pictures. I don't need any of that as it slows down the system when it's scanning the files when I click on the folder. I tried manually right clicking on the bars and unchecking the duration, dimensions, title, author, artist, etc. Unfortunately, every time I do that, a few days later, it automatically reappears in that folder where I turned it off! What gives?

Anyways, I don't want ANY of those "helpful" info. How do I permanently get rid of it?

I have the same problem with mp3s - I just wish Windows would stay put and stop changing itself back.

Tools>Folder Options under your file Explorer, and under the View tab, there is a "like current folder" button and all your options to turn off.
