Explorer forgets desktop icon layout

II have Win98SE and the folowing problem: Since the last time I booted Windows in safe mode, Explorer always changes the Desktop-icon-layout back to the version it uses in safe mode. It does this on every reboot and also sometimes when Windows is running whe Explorer is closed (and restarted) w/ an error message. I always restore the layout w/ the program 12Ghosts Save Layout, but I have to do it at least once in every hour, which is very annoying.

Can anybody help me?

I have found a program that worked! 😎 😎 😎

It is a program from PC Magazin and is called Win Tidy. It can be downloaded here , but you need a subscription download this. If you need the program, I could mail it to you. It is 751kB big as .zip file.

It has a auto restore, which restores the icon layout everytime the program starts and it also has a "smart restore", which automatically restores the layout when Explorer is closed or the resolution is changed.
