explorer.exe error

Ok guys plz help...

I have some avi files which are around 600- 700mb each and all of em if i try to play it i get this msg

"explore.exe has generated error and will be closed by Windows
You will need to restart the program

An erro log is being created "

everytime and it closes my windowexplorer.

I know it's not the codec problem and can't find the error log either.

this is how the drives are setup though..I have two disks 120g as master and 40gig as slave.

Now the 40 gig is where avi's are stored and the disk has been run by WinXP.
Now I'm running Win2k on 120gig and want to transfer files from 40gig to 120gig disk but now what's the used if I can't even play it.

Any suggestions?
