I don't understand why this happens, but i have some large folders filled with .avi's/mp3's, & when i go into them to rename files, preview video, etc., explorer.exe literally drains my cpu of any power it has, & just getting my mouse to select a file takes like 5 seconds.

Why the heck is it killing my system resources to just display a folder's contents?

Its Explorer's Mini-Media Player that generally hangs folders with large
Video/Audio files.

Using the 'Windows Classic Folders' removes it.

in Explorer
Tools \ Folder options \ General \ set Web View to "Use Windows Classic Folders"
