Explorer crashing when i right click

I recently started having a problem whenever I right clicked in my computer, the main screen where it shows all the drives, where explorer would immidiately crash. I haven't recently installed any windows hotfixes, and I have cleaned my drive of viruses and spyware/adware. Could there be another reason for this, because it gets really annoying when I want to browse a cddrive, or check the properties of one of my hard drives

I just installed all of the critical updates from windows and this is still happening. any other ideas?
