speed-dial is a very popular add-on for such browsers as opera, firefox...but still no speed-dial for explorer 8...why does microsoft ignore this popular add-on....are they sleeping in the past, or just don,t care..

Just don't care. I'd argue mouse gestures are even more useful and popular, but only Opera has that built-in. I guess speed dial has the advantage to being eye-candy though. Especially in the latest safari beta.

As far as I can tell, it's a built-in feature for Opera and an add-on for Firefox. I'm not sure why this is a Microsoft problem; developers are more than welcome to develop a speed-dial add-on for IE8.
