Explore Window Opens at startup

did a fresh install of win98 and must have restarted with a window open-now at every startup or restart that window opens-checked every Registry Run key,startup folder and startup tab of msconfig-can't find a way to shut it off anywhere-any ideas?
 
Did you try closing window and restarting to see if it still happens? When did this start?
 
don't remember exactly when it started -I've only installed a handful of programs tho-guess I'll uninstall them to see if it cures it before I reformat and reinstall
