If a gun is for self defense then you shouldn't need more than one, it isn't like you should fire more than one at a time. I fail to see how a law restricting people to a single gun would violate the 2nd amendment given you would be allowed to own a gun.

It's the right to bear armS. Not the right to bear arm. Simple enough for you?

although for most people one gun would satisfy that fine, it wouldn't for hunting as different weapons have different purposes, and even countries with little gun rights (including NO guarantee of a gun for protection) allow guns for hunters. Even in England where you basically have to be strip searched in front if the queen if you are given a permit you can get multiple guns.

Do you have more than one set of clothes, or one pair of shoes, for different purposes? Maybe just because you want to?

No, it's the other way around. Just may sure every shit with your 22 you use for rabbits pierces the deer's eye socket to ensure a take down.

You don't get to determine how many of anything I or anyone else "need" or are allowed to have.

Shine on, though, comrade.

Assume you mean personal protection and not rifles.

I had:
1 pistol on my cash drawer.
1 in my desk drawer.
1 for my pocket carry.
1 .22 target pistol.
1 Glock 17, from 1991, sat a file cabinet.
1 Star 9mm, nice shooter. Sat in same file cabinet.
1 .38 S&W for the wife.
1 Glock 27 for my other conceal carry.
1 1937 H&R .22 9 shot revolver...just because.

Sold them all on via our local trade clip to Bubba.

I may be willing to allow for two guns if the second is solely for hunting, but it should be limited to 2 or 3 rounds at most.

Isn't that generous of you? You may now have one change of clothing. Why? Because that's what I allow you.

you can only have one religion. And one area to speak it, I dont see why you would need to speak anywhere then this 2x2 box the government lets you speak in.

2nd amendment is not about self-defense.

The 2nd amendment is to ensure every able bodied citizen is armed so they can be called to protect the nation in times of need.

George Washington did not blog the British to death, George took up arms and killed the British.

When the British were going to invade New Orleans in the war of 1812, who defended the city? Andrew Jackson and volunteers using their hunting rifles.

When Texas won its independence from Mexico, who was fighting the war? It was civilians with their hunting rifles.

In the LA riots, who ensured stores were not looted and burned? It was the armed citizen.

After a natural disaster, who protects private property? Its the armed citizen.

It is a common misconception that the police are first responders. The true first responder is the armed citizen.

So can we apply the same standard to abortions?

I don't see why anyone should need more than one abortion. Shouldn't they learn to use BC after having one?

It has never been about need. I don't need 2 cars. If I want I can have as long as I am not a felon, simple as that.

The 2nd amendment makes no mention of self defense and has been in effect for over 200 years as law. You should be the one explaining to us why it only pertains to self defense and if so why only one gun is necessary for that.

Also remember it is Wednesday and the First Amendment only applies on Monday so please refrain from responding until then.
