I buy a used MP3 player, iRiver iHP-120 with 20 GB HD. I just now attach it to my desktop by the supplied USB cable. For some reason I can't copy a folder to the root directory, but can to subdirectories. Weird.

OK, so I click the Recycle folder shown under the root directory of the player's HD and I see a whole slew of folders that were evidently deleted by the seller. These are band names, for instance The Rolling Stones. So I right click the Stones and select Restore and two Stones album are restored. They are playable yada yada: Tatoo You and Through the Past, Darkly (Big Hits, Vol. 2) [US]. But the weird thing is I go back to the Recycle bin and none of the other stuff is there, just stuff from my own desktop system's recycle bin. What's up?

'Tis weird. Really, I don't care. Her taste in music is a lot more mainstream than mine. I'm not going to be listening to those Stones WMA's.

It really seems to be some kind of software glitch. I sure didn't empty that Recycled folder.
