every afternoon, it runs out of ice

BUT...

the catch tray is FULL of ice


😕

does someone walk buy and just dump ice into the tray to make the machine run out so nobody can have any ice? :Q

i don't know why the tray is full , but the machine is out

perhaps we need to hold some "ice machine training" to get people up to speed on how to get the ice into the cup or something
 
At least you get ice at some point in the day. Ours has a short that causes it to go into self-clean mode (i.e. thaw) as soon as it dumps ice. Real useful "feature" right there ....
 
It's people like me who fill up their water bottles for lunch and let extra ice cascade around the bottle before moving on. After tapping it down and adding more until it overflows again.

We have to make sure it's full.

 
Lady that did the coffee and restocked the tea etc.. at one job I had would do that every day in the afternoon.

No idea why though and since she only spoke Spanish I couldn't ever ask her 🙁

WTH at least you have an ice maker. If i had one of those, i think i would bring a blender to work and make my self icys and slushies and stuff. Screw coffee.

Maybe they don't like the ice they get so they dump it and try again.
 
Any ice machine I have ever used in my entire life keeps dumping ice after you let go of the button. Normally, people remove their <insert ice holder> once they let go of the button. When the machine continues to dump ice, there is nothing there to catch it. Have you never seen this before are you just really that dumbfounded?
 
so, you let go of the button sooner. so you don't waste ice. so it doesn't run out of ice

sounds like user error to me
