More concerned about who's better leader against terror than who's better for them in terms of the economy. Meanwhile in the 3 states where it's most likely that there would be another attack (NY, CA, ILL), they overwhelmingly voted against Bush. It seems to me that many people in the middle of the country voted for president based on an issue that would never directly affect them.

Those states always vote Democrat. Stop trying to read something into this, you're clearly over your head logically.

There are a lot of areas where terrorists can attack that are not in NY, CA or ILL. Also Bush is stronger on national defense and fighting terrorism than Kerry.

Yup. I was thinking fo this last night too. It's totally absurd. NY was Democrat. DC was 90% Democrat. I mean do those people in North florida really think their five story building downtown is going to get destroyed by terrorists? Ridiculous. (Except maybe if it's true that Bin Laden is targeting invididual us states that will happen.)

Based on Bushes "war on terrorism" how much world support do you think we'll get when another 911 occurs?

And yes, another attack will probably occur. Both camps admitted this during the campaigning.

I am still shaking my head. My worry in CT is a nuclear device would send radiactive fallout over my living area making the area inhospitable for 10 years. Referring to a dirt y bomb and real time maps available on line based on normal wind patterns.

Thank you once again America!

Point being, Bush has screwed up on the war on terrorism (Iraq is proof) and we are no safer today. And his attitude is to "stay the course". Wonder where that wil lget us in 4 years.

Yeah? What was Kerry doing? "This country is headed the wrong way!!" "Iraq is a disaster!" "Job outlook is horrible!" "There's not enough flu shots!"

Nice try, again, but you're still missing the point.

I meant Fear of Terrorism, to go along with the topic of this thread.

Then fix your post to read "It's easier to instill fear of terrorism into conservatives" so we can all know what you actually meant instead of what you actually said.

Unlike a lost of posters in P&N (I've only just started posting here), I try and comment on the topic posted, as opposed to general rhetoric and blind posts supporting whomever I like. As such, my post was in response to the original post. If you care to debate my clarified post with me, then do so. I feel no need to edit my original post though.

Sorry, your premise is false. The majority of voters rated moral issues as the most important reason, with the economy second, and terrorism third. Linkage

Also, just because you don't live in a "target" state, doesn't mean you won't be affected. 9/11 hurt a lot more people than just those who lost their lives or were injured, and their families. You'll remember the effects on the travel industry - they still haven't completely recovered.
