weird how 600+ bucks in upgrades don't get you too far

i am however very happy with this nf7-s
it hit 200fsb just fine

weird kt133 with pc133 outperforms an nforce2 system with pc3200

same vid card just the nf2 system has more mem and a higher clocked barton instead of a t-bred
also the kt133 system uses sb live! 5.1

Firstly, you're comparing the 43.45 drivers to the 45.32s.
Secondly, your Ti4200 being non-DX9 will limit your scores to that range no matter what's backing it.
Thirdly, the nF2 chipset drivers (IIRC) still have issues with the APU/IDE scores and CPU utilization.

so let's see 100mhz more clock speed
double the fsb speed
more than double the memory bandwidth
double the agp rate
double the cache
supposedly better sound

and i lose performance ??

i don't care what drivers i'm using that is rediculous
i'm not the only one that thinks that am i ??

the kt133 was the best athlon chipset ever made muahahahahaha !!!!!!

ohh well maybe it is just a 3dmark/driver thing what a bummer

i was expecting atleast 2000 on the nf2 system

so let's see 100mhz more clock speed
Won't help your video card.

double the fsb speed
Won't help your video card.

more than double the (theoretical) memory bandwidth
Won't help your video card.

double the agp rate
Won't help your video card.

double the cache
Won't help your video card.

supposedly better sound
Irrelevant. No sound during tests.

Get the picture yet? The Ti4200 is what's holding you back. Any non-DX9 card will be massacred in 3DMark03. And yes, drivers do make a big difference - especially if the chipset drivers are lacking.

there are sound tests in the benchmark and since i am not comparing to dx9 cards then it shouldn't matter
i am comparing two system configs using the same vid card
agp speed does help with like .5% heh
also there are cpu tests in the benchmark
all system components make a difference in 3dmark2k3 not just the vid card
so wether the upgrades help my vid card or not is irrellivant
the benchmark score as a whole is my main concern

but yeah i guess the nvidia drivers must suck or something....

I thought everyone knew that 3dmark2k3 is pretty much completely dependent on video card alone. You could have a p4 @ 5ghz but that same 4200..your score wouldnt improve much..at all...

If you want to compare the two systems, run 3dmark2001se, not 3dmark2003. 3dmark2003 is 90% GPU dependent - the same video card will give you approximately the same score.

yeah i know it's gpu dependent but i still didn't expect my score to drop

ohh well
