explain power usage of 6xx series

I noted that when I game in precision I never go about 70% power usage no matter what. Why is that?

It implies that either the game isn't challenging the GPU enough or it has had to throttle for some reason.

Which game and what FPS are you at? Which card for that matter?

He's probably running some less demanding game with Vsync on. For example, when I run D3 with Vsync at 60hz, it barely takes 45% of my GPU.

Play Crysis 3.

Then come back to thread and report your findings.

Nothing changes on every game I play.
Even heaven 4.0 only uses 70%.
Nothing uses more.

That is pretty normal for me. Even overvolted and overclocked it is rare for a game to show more than 85% power usage. It is a useless statistic as far as actual power usage is concerned. This is separate from GPU usage as I am sure all of you are aware.
