Explain memory timings for me?

If my memory timings are:

4-4-3-5

Can you tell me which are what? Lol

4 = ? (CAS, I think is the first one)
4 = ?
3 = ?
5 = ?

I have 2 2x2gbhk gskill ddr2-800 kits.

wow, those timings seem incredibly low! how did you get those? is it stable? and with 4 sticks? what FSB:RAM?

I dont know a whole lot about memory timings, I know that lower is better, I cant remember the names or what they mean. Bios should say what they are, wikipedia what they mean and how they work.

I know the last one should be 12-18 normally for ddr2, 4 seems incredibly low.

Yep it's possible....

Those are my rated timings... If they can't achieve those timings, you just send them back and get a new set.

No id guess hes mixing a number or has it wrong. The last number cant be 5. :p Especially running 4x sticks.

May be possible but doesn't matter at all...

Memory timings have at most 1-2% impact on real-world apps with today's processors.
