How do you turn off the encryption? I have the Logitech MX Duo and am experiencing lag in games. I have only tried the drivers on the logitech website to try to remedy problem, nothing else.Originally posted by: batmanuel
Did the people that experienced lag have the encryption turned on? That may have introduced a bit of a lag into the system, since the signals from the keyboard have to be decrypted by the receiver before they are sent out to the computer's USB or PS/2 ports. In everyday use like typing any lag is a not very apparent, but if you are playing Unreal or Quake and sending a lot of keyboard inputs to the receiver very fast with the encryption enabled, it could potentially cause a bit of a lag if the encryption hardware (software?) is overwhelmed by the amount of info being sent in such as short amount of time and becomes a bottleneck for the keyboard. I peronally can't see any keybpard lag with my Elite Duo, but a more competitive gamer than I may have some issues.
No, it doesn't work that way. Encryption and decryption is fast enough to not introduce lag. Do not start baseless rumors; if you can't show it actually happen, then shut up.Originally posted by: batmanuel
