hey ppl, i just signed in and i'm new to these forums stuff, i m deciding to get a new pc n i have decided some specifications but i wanted to know if i m thinking correctly,
the things specs r
E6600 processor
asus p5w dh deluxe board
sata 250 gb 16 mb cache hd
corsair 2 gb xms 758 mb bus
xfx 8800 gtx graphics card
ocz gamexstream 700w
asus silent knight coolin fan
asus vento 7700 casin
optical drive asus dual layer 18x dvd durner combo

basically i want my pc for hardcore gamin, n i want to be able to overclock it to more then 3.0 ghz as its hot in pakistan where i live our weather here gets heat up to 50 degrees C so i wanted advice on which heat sink to use to have an ovelclocked pc which never gets heated n also the reason for buying this power supply is that ocz is a reliable brand and xfx recommends the power supply should be above 625w for no sli boards, n the reason for this mother board is this that i have read at alot of places that it is the best overclockin motherboard n i have seen it benchmarks............plz advice 🙂

n i also wanted to state that here ppl in market dont know a bit about pcs and the availability of the range of products n brands is really less n every thing is more expensive then in the markets of england america or even india, already i m importin my psu and graphics card. i also wanted to know what difference does a ram makes on overclockin and which ram would suit more, n thankyou all of u who replies in anticipation

You did your homework! Welcome to the forums.

since i've written this topic i,ve got enough views but very less replies then i expected anyways i also wanted to know about the quality of the sound card of this board P5w dh deluxe cause i intend to used thx certified mx 5021 speakers and 602i head phones both from altec lansing i wanted to know wether the on board sound card can handle them to thier full potential or would i be required to get a new chip and if i do have to which sound card would u guys recommend, cause i've heard that the speaker n headphone don't work at full potential with normal sound cards

My motherboard is 3 or 4 years old and I have THX certified Altec Lansing 5.1 surround speakers. I have ac97 onboard audio and a soundblaster live card. I don't use the card I can't tell the difference. It sounds fine to me. It sounds fine on my Sony headphones to.
If you don't like the sound of onboard sound then get a sound card.
