Expert mode, Can't remember about clients...

I know about the proxy, but what about the client? I added another Duron to my home herd and now my remote buff-in is running out of keys to fast. I have it set to 4000 but it never fills it up and I like to control when it updates. What do I need to do?

I beleive that the dnet client has a maximum buffer size, in packets. There is no way to increase the number of packets, but you can increase the number of workunits per packet. Set you prefered packet size to 2^33 and it should download more workunits because each packet contains more workunits.

I'm sorry I can't help you out with the client issue MWalkden🙁

But if you've already got a home herd why don't have your own pproxy as well?

It doesn't take much memory and almost no CPU cycles so why not? You can also do what sciencewhiz suggests... anyway hope you get it up the way you want it too! 🙂

Looks like that is what I should do TwoFace, am still working on my office re-arrangement and haven't re-built that PC yet (getting an upgrade to 2KPro). Was just checking to see if there was indeed a way to manipulate the client, just an attempt to hold off from the proxy for awhile longer yet.

Thanks sciencewhiz and TwoFace.

You know we'll help you out!
