I need a quick, portable disk imaging solution here in the office an I'm considering getting an external CD-R/RW. Speed and cost are not issues, the main concern is the ability to make good burns with no coasters. Can anyone recommend a good external hardware and software combination to get the job done? SCSI is out of the question since most of the backups will be done to laptops.

Thanks alot.

My office is using HP CD-Writer Plus 8200 series. It uses USB and works very well with Adaptec CD Creator Deluxe and Nero.

I'd go with the Mitsumi 4802 or 4804TU USB drive. Excellent and once I moved to great software like Nero (which works in both win98 and 2000) I haven't had a coaster yet.
