experiences with asus e-616 dvd-rom drive

I'd like to know if anyone on this thread has this drive? Can you tell me whatyou think of it. Also, it is supposed to be multizone, can anyone confirm this or was this loophole removed with later firmware updates?

I've got one.....it's not one of the best offerings from ASUS, as most discs take a long time to spin up and detect, but once it's going, it's fine.

This drive is partially region free: you can reset the counter by holding down the two buttons at the front when you boot up your machine.
