I recently installed a 5 1/4 inch floppy drive on my grandfather's new computer.
(He's an old engineer and has lots of files he want's to access on some 5 1/4 disks)
He has a new LS120 optical floppy drive on his computer that works off the IDE interface (Set to Master).
I have hooked up the old floppy drive to the floppy interface off the motherboard.
Now, he runs Windows ME, and he'll only use his 5 1/4 inch drive seldomly.
Here is the problem:
When veiwing MY COMPUTER, the 5 1/4 inch drive is labeled a 3 1/2 inch drive. The drive functions fine, but it confuses my grandpa because it is labeled exactly the same as the LS120 optical drive, and my grandpa keeps getting them mixed up.
Another issue, which isn't as important, but would be nice to fix, is that the 5 1/4 is now labeled the A: drive and the LS120 is now labeled the B: drive. Is there any way to change these designations around so the 5 1/4 is the B: drive and the LS120 is the A: drive?
Thanks for everyones help.
