EXPERIENCED HELP NEEDED!

Hey guys, I've got a problem. Over the years (since the K6-2+ and K6-III+ were released) I've used AMD mobile processor in my desktops. My last socket 754 based system has an EPOX Sli motherboard (which doesn't support my 4000+ well - but I force it to work using CPUMSR). Since building that I've moved to socket 939 and AM2 based boards.

OK - Here is the problem; I've upgraded repeatedly and I've got five different socket754 processors (all DTRs, no Turions) left over. After I am done with something I like to give it away (usually in the form of complete computer systems) to friends and relatives (so my money doesn't go to waste).

I don't have enough motherboards for the processors and (considering their current low price) I am willing to purchase motherboards to make use of these processors. BUT, except for a couple of older boards (that use AGP instead of PCI-e videocards) I'm not up-to-date on what boards work well with Athlon 64 mobile processors. I was hoping MSI socket 754 motherboards would work (as they support Turion processors - even when Cool and Quiet is enabled), but I have one on hand and it won't even post.

I'm at a loss. I don't want to use motherboards based on older chipsets (like the Nforce3) or use solutions like CPUMSR (if I can help it). I thought one of you folks (the people I often think of as my 'brain-trust') might be able to help.

So, in a nut shell, what Socket 754 motherboards work well with AMD Athlon 64 mobile
processors?
