Expectations for Future DDR4 Memory

When do people expect memory makers to release new DDR4 memory kits? Specifically, there was some noise in December about Samsung making new 1y-nm DDR4 chips which should be able to do 3600 @ 1.2 V. I think that Micron and Hynix are also working on there sub 20-nm parts.

Do you expect to see these soon? Will these parts be reserved for mobile? Will the sell at a premium like B-die does currently, or will the better densities drive cost down?

I would like to see everyone's speculation. I currently using a Hynix kit with 1st gen Ryzen and I may upgrade that memory kit in the future.

It would be nice to see a jump in capacity but that would allow desktops to further infringe on workstations so I am not sure it will happen. 32GB and 64GB sticks exist for workstation/server so the technology is totally doable and has been for quite some time.

DDR4 4000 @ CL12 is already doable under specific conditions, it would be great if this could become the eventual standard for XMP out of the box.
