hi all,

Gues everybody is going doom 3 now, but in Europe this game is not yet available.

I ran a few benchmarks with the Far cry benchmark utility and I was wondering if these where the framerates i might expect with my system.

I'm actualy a litle dissapointed because playing with all details max no FSAA and no AF still gives me occasional framerates under 30 fps .

The results

Pier level:
1024 x 768 pure speed : 105fps
1024 x 768 max detail : 50fps

Training:
1024 x 768 max detail : 57fps

Vulcano:
1024 768 max detail : 69fps

there are far more highs and lows with farcry only because that engine is all over the place (small rooms, large rooms, outside, etc.)
Expect a much lower average framerate but a more consistent one. but in the end a totally playable exprience at the settings you've listed and also at a couple resolutions higher.

You could try overclocking. With your P4 at 3.3+ and the Pro at 500/500 you wouldn't see nearly as many dips below 30 IMO.

The only area that ive had frame rate problems with thus far is the level im upto at the moment, the research level, with all the tree platforms, otherwise its very smooth.

Currently using the catalyst 4.9 beta drivers. Performance is the same as with 4.7 drivers.

I find framerates under 30 not playable.

Overclocking makes the system unstable especialy in UT2004, crashes etc.

Overclocking the X800pro to 500/500 gave only 2FPS more in the benches.

Current intel inf driver is 6.0.1.1002.
DirectX 9C

I think this should be ok?
I have an Aquamark score of 50.800 wich seems in the right order no?
