I think that most of us, basically anyone not a member of the Trump cult, recognize that Trump is seriously mentally unstable, that would take a whole library of psychology textbooks to cover his many issues.

I've expect, and have posted my predictions that Trump is going to lose his shit when he loses, and that his reaction will be to strike out at basically the world in his rage. I also expect that there will be a hostile transition, if and that's a big IF he actually willingly leaves office on January 20. This is all just my opinion, based on life and dealing with all sorts of people in business over decades.

Seems that 'the professionals' agree, and basically see a scorched earth aftermath of his loss.

If he is not stopped, perhaps by the 25th, there won't be a functional government as we know it by 1/20. He is making his preparations already, recently signing an EO giving agency heads the power to hire and fire at will. Agency heads whom he owns as they are his appointees. Look at the damage DeJoy has accomplished without this to the USPS.

Trump has plans. Trump will stop the voting and the vote counting long before he loses. The fix is in. The counting will stop in the states where Trump is ahead, and the courts will stop the counting where Trump is losing thus handling a victory to Donald Trump as “outcome can not be determined by the ballots“. Either way, Donald Trump will simply claim victory by ignoring the numbers, and to do that Trump must first delegitimize the vote. We’ve never seen this before, well.... not in America. That article may be alarmist in some respects, yet there are too many logically ascertainable aspects of the article so as to make it impossible to outright deny the outcomes it speaks to.

Anything's possible with Trump, especially when considering his habit of ignoring the Rule of Law and those other "restrictions" that keeps him from becoming the outright authoritarian he has to be in order to force things to go the way his twisted dysfunctional personality disorders tell him to.

He has fashioned his administration into a sycophantic nightmare where he can feel comfortable in knowing that his demands for being admired and unquestionably right on whatever his demented mind comes up with are met with devout loyalty and agreement. I think surprisingly few people will get pardons if this happens. There is nothing in it for him. Like besides Charles Kushner I can't think of many people with the juice to get them. There is a potential for some outright bribery though.

My worry is that they'll do what they've hinted at and when they lose the popular vote and electoral college, that in states where Republicans have enough power they'll just replace the electors and have them vote against what the people chose. If that happens, the riots that have arisen out of protests we've seen this year will be nothing. I expect entire cities to be burned down to the ground.

There will be danger if the election is close. If a coup is attempted it will take a lot of coordination . Trump is mostly a bully that everyone has been afraid to punch in the nose. In Donald Trump's hands, that power he wields is going to be used in a very transactional kind of way. Whoever he blesses those pardons with will of course have something of value to him that he expects in return. Of course we didn't. In order to understand and realize this has always been where we are heading you would have to understand the narcissistic personality and that it is based on the inability to love yourself. We think of the narcissistic personality as something that exists out there in the worst cases where these traits are in open desplay, and then apparently, given the way people vote, only to trained psychologists, but the fact as I see it is that this personality type is universal because of the underlying condition. We have all been taught to hate ourselves. It is how we exert control over our children by punishing them for their selfishness rather than helping it to flourish to include all those around as well. The flowering of love changes the I to Thou. Real self respect is the concern for others.

If Biden wins he and Harris are going to be very busy between November and January planning to throw out all the Trump Trash and maybe they'll get lucky and be able to get back the people who knew their job that Donald threw out when he took over.
