I have one of these under my Geforce. I think it does quite well at taking the heat off the video card. There's a pretty large amount of air coming through the back slot. Whether or not its pushing out its rated 42cfm, i don't really care about. It does a pretty good job though. You can find them some places for cheap. I think I got one for 8 bucks.

I have read that they will help your system temp go down , (and for a mere $8-10). However, do not expect the 42CFM. I heard that they really only push about 15CFM. But as long as you get the cooling, does it really matter?
My slot cooler seems to pump out a bunch of air, and it's almost dead silent. You drop that baby down to 7v, and all you can hear is the air when you put your ear close enough. But even at 12v, the lack of sound it makes is amazing.
