Expanding on XP's built-in zip program?

I really like the ease of just dclicking on zip files, and being able to browse without needing to use a program. Unfortuantely, I can only browse .zip files. Is there any way to let me browse .rar or any other extension files?

Also, how do I compress files using the built in zip program? Do I need to just use a existing zip file, then cut and paste whatever I want zipped inside that folder?

Thanks.

Cut and Paste or just "right-click" the file or folder you want to zip and "Send to: Compressed Folder(zip)".

Not sure if the WinXP zip can work with RAR or ACE files, I use WinRAR and WinACE in addition to the built-in Zip program.
