Expanding network. Router to router?

I'm thinking of building a 5node cluster which would probably have its own 5 port router. I plan to plug this into my wireless router (4-port) wich is in turn connected to my cable broadband connection.

Is it straight forward to just plug a router into another router to expand the network? or should I be looking at something different?

Ideally, I want the cluster to connect to my desktop PC with one cable, ie have a router box in the cluster that connects into my network.

Many thanks in advance for your advice!

It depends what you would like the topology to be.

If you want to have one cohesive Network you should connect the second Router as a Switch using regular port to regular and configure the Router to be totally passive.

You can see the principle here: http://www.ezlan.net/router_AP.html

If you want two Networks, this is the way to do it: http://www.ezlan.net/shield.html

:sun:

P.S. both examples use Wireless Router; however, a wired Router should work too.
