Expanded my GoG collection a bit

Picked up Empire Earth 1 for 5.99, Gothic 2 Gold for 9.99, and Might and Magic 6-Pk Limited Edition.

I already own EE1 and G2, but I don't have the Night of the Raven expansion for G2, and G2 Gold is the only way to get the expansion if you're in the US. M&M, obviously, an old set of classic games.

I'm thinking about making teh Settlers 2 my initial gog purchase.

I loved 3 and 4; never played the second one.

I went to buy stronghold, end up with:

Strong Hold
Strong Hold Crusader
Free space
Free Space 2
Duke Nukem 3D
Farcry
Earth 2150 Trilogy

I would like to get the first Empire Earth, maybe I'll buy it next month, since this month I'll get Borderlands and two others, my reserve for games is getting dry, and when I buy at GoG I tend to buy two or three games at once. My current GoG "collection" consists of the Earthworm Jim pack (1 & 2), MDK2 (for which I have provided the soundtrack that they recently added), Fallout, Fallout 2 and Beyond Good & Evil (which doesn't work well, unfortunately). If I do buy more GoG games next month it will include the original EE as I mentioned, and perhaps the Incoming + Incoming: Forces pack, as well as both Freespace 1 and 2, and maybe Redneck Rampage as well.

Definitely pick up the Freespace titles, those were some awesome games. The last great space simulations.

I've played them before, but it's been so long ago that I barely remember the story line. The main reason why I am interested to buy them both again isn't just to simply play them one more time (at least) but also because I want to try out that restoration project mod thing that adds new textures and sounds and whatnot, it looks good, when I played the original, and the sequel as well, I don't think that project existed at all.

Free Space 2 is open source [might be too late if you already purchased it].

On the getting started page it says that you still need to buy FS2 since the Open Source is just a upgrade.

Installing FreeSpace 2 first is important, because FreeSpace Open is not a full game; it is merely an upgraded version of the FS2 game engine.

Look Under Installing Free Space Open!
