I don't imagine you can just disable the internal pump and just attach your own D5 or DDC, or whatever pump you buy?

Did you do maintenance on it? Have you checked your fluid levels? Grinding is often a sign of low liquid.

Yea i already checked the sight and they have all of these replacement parts for the exos 2 system, yet for some unimaginable reason, they dont sell the replacement pump. I checked the fluid level it was low initially, that is why i powered it off immediately when i heard the grinding and topped it off a bit. Then powered it back on. The weird thing is that i was running it fine last night without any noises. I am going to start pulling it apart and see if there is something obvious with it, but im assuming i will need a new pump. Untill then i might have to take off all the waterblocks and put it back on air cooling.

If you didn't run it too long without enough fluid? Fixing the fluid level should help. If it doesn't start up you can jar the pump a bit and it usually starts moving again. Tap it with something heavy.

The other thing that could of happened it the shaft of the pump got dislodged or broken, if the latter definitely new pump, the former a small chance of fixing it.

yea the pumps are sealed inside of the reservoir, i cant get them out. I tested the voltage coming into them though and it is showing 12v so, I think the pumps are fried. Looks like I might just be going back to an air setup if I cant buy this replacement tank + pump for my exos 2 unit.

yea i did contact them and they got back to me saying that the pump is dicontinued. He said my only option now is to just buy a seperate external pump and only use the exos 2 system for its radiator. Thats kind of crappy, I think im just going back to air and maybe ill sell/salvage the rest.

i can help you mickey mouse the pump to work.

All i need is a picture of where the stock pump is, and a rough dimension of space that a pump would fit.

From there, i can help you mount a different pump, and use the same gear.

Ok so i talked to dean.

This is his recomendation:

[15:52] Dean: PMP-400 and there is a reservoir you can attach it to...
[15:52] Dean: then you just need to make an adapter to adapt the top hole..

Sounds like a plan if you want to attempt it.
If you do let me know, i think i can help ya walk you though it.

Or he recomends this:
http://www.koolance.com/water-cooling/product_info.php?product_id=799

And buy a DDC. He says that res takes a DDC. It seems like it would connect on the side.
Then you need to splice the 4 pin cable off the old pump and attach it to the DDC:

[15:56] Dean: there is a four pin molex in the exos that he can split a threepin off to power the pump
[15:56] Dean: and attach the DDC to that reservoir

Listen to dean... i trust him without batting an eye when it comes to Koolance.

Wow, thanks for all the help aigomorla! I will have to do a little research and looking around and see which option I am going to do. Think a PMP-300 would be fine as well?

no that res looks like a PMP-400 replacement.

You can see on the side where the pump would attach itself to.

You will need to take apart the pump tho, and remove the top, and then secure the base of the pump + impeller on that res.

But dean said it would work. And i would trust dean.
He was in charge of support b4 he left koolance.

You can also buy the PMP-400 a cheaper version by swiftech called the MCP-355. Look @ jab-tech.com and sidewinders, however you will still need to splice the wires as dean says if u want the exos unit to power the pump.
