Exorcist: The Beginning

Considering the history on this film, it really should not be a suprise.

I dont follow, this particluar film itself has a history, or are you just implying that the other movies in the series were crap so this should be as well?

I loved the first, and the third had some truly freaky parts but wasnt bad... I dont remember 2.

I never enjoyed the first one, i saw a trailer of the new one and thought it looked quite good, Not surprised about the reviews though..

2 was crap...3 was actually pretty good I thought...

George C. Scott was good, and it really had some creepy/freaky imagery...

Remember the scene where the nurse is walking down the hall in the middle of the night, and at the last second you see this person coming up behind her with these giant autopsy shears?

The original director was basically fired from the film. Another director was brought in to fix the problems the studio had with the film and he just made a whole new film without asking the studio.

OMG I still see that sometimes when I close my eyes. That was quite possibly one of the scariest scenes I've ever seen. I was watching Exorcist 3 during the day with a room full of teenage guys and we were all freaked out

That is my thinking.

The first Exorcist was weird. When the girl walked backwards and upside down on all fours down the stairs, like a spider, and then vomited blood. I don't think I could watch that movie alone.

Isn't there gonna be a DVD release of the original Exorcist: The Beginning version..y'know.. that was made before the director switch? I remember reading something about that.

Yes, they are supposed to release both films as a set.
