I haven't used aftermarket cooling for a video card since my radeon 9700 pro. Artic Cooling had a very quiet and effective aftermarket cooler for that which exhausted the air outside of the case. I look through their website now and all their vga coolers dump heat back inside the case.
This is particularly strange since i've seen certain HIS radeon cards with non-reference exhaust type coolers that look suspiciously similar to the old artic cooler I had. All the other third party heatsink manufacturers also seem to favor non-exhaust type for VGA.
.... Any suggestions? Also, I can't even find confirmation that any of these aftermarket solutions will actually work on the 4770.
