exhaust or intake?

Got myself an Antec case which comes with a side port. If I put a fan on it.....should it be an exhaust or an intake? This port also comes with the CPU vent thingy. Any help appreciated. Thx.

Intake, most likely. What's a "vent thingy?"

one of those exhaust things for your cpu. Kind of like a cone coming from the side where the fan will go.

typically holes on the side and in the front of the case are intake and holes on the top and rear are exhaust.

Okay, that looks cool. Intake for sure, you don't want two fans pulling against each other.

Forcing Cold air into a case creates positive airflow, hot air will find a way to escape.
