Exhaust Hanger

Ok so I drive a Dodge Cummins and I've noticed the exhaust hanger is about to crack off the actual exhaust. I can crawl under the truck and pull it off if I pulled hard enough which would leave a hole in the exhaust. Would I be able to weld it back together?

Agreed, little welding goes a long way

Are you a novice or experienced welder? If you're new to it, practice on something else thin first or you're just going to melt an ever widening hole in your exhaust.

Yeah you can weld it, but welding exhaust can be difficult. And its a somewhat common problem with those Dodge Cummins, because the motor shakes so much when shutting down, its a beautiful thing. 😉

I can weld but I'll probably have my wife's uncle do it since that's what does for a living.
