I was looking for a small exercise bike to put in my room and stumble on this eBay auction: Link (not mine)

Anyone know if this thing would give you a good workout?

Anyone actually tried it before?

You'll enjoy a real bike much more, that's for sure.

A 2 hour ride on a bicycle is fun and exciting, you see stuff, and you burn a lot of calories. Can you see yourself pedaling an exercise bike for 2 hours? Hell no, you'd be bored out of your gourd! The very idea of a stationary bike is a fundamentally flawed concept.

I completely agree. This is for some aerobic exercise at night, when I can't leave the house to go biking. Just wondering if mechanically, it would give you the same workout as a regular stationary bike.

i dont think so.
From the picture it looks like you dont get a good range of motion,
and can you set the amount of resistance? it looks like that guy
is relaxing too much.

edit: dont buy exercise equipment that you can't try out.

Basically, you don't ever want to get a stationary bike unless you're doing a lot of serious training. They aren't any fun.

I've tried it and it's not worth getting. You can't really move your legs much sitting on a chair and it is very boring. You might as well get a normal exercise bike.
