exercise question - gut.

I am not fat. I am 120 lbs at age of 22, but I have some gut sticking out. I dont drink or anything and I am trying to watch what I eat.

If I want to lose that gut, will doing jump ropes every night be enough?

well yes cardio will help a lot, couple that with a good diet and some crunches and you'll lose your gut in no time

edit - yes how tall are you?

and notfred: how is this a symptom of a tapeworm?

Ever see pictures of those african kids who are all skin and bones, but still have fat looking guts because they have parasites?

it's not a huge gut, but it's stomach fat that is sticking out and I dont like it.....it kind of shows through my shirt a bit.

btw, i'm 5'5''

I thought that was because they had no food, and their stomachs would swell because of hunger and basically be eating it self (there is a very detailed explanation but I forget it)

Just do cardio every day (or atleast 5 days a week for ~ 30 mins per day the more the better, but say 1 hour 30 mins max) and follow it by crunches. Keep a clean diet and you should loose fat in noo time. But I would suggest that since your soo small build up muscle (have a higher protein intake and do weight resistance) if you have any questions on it pm me. I have done a lot of research on it lately (btw I am fat, but in the process of loosing weight, first cutting then bulking)

btw are you a guy or a girl

That's due to hunger, not parasites

I got fat, so I'm not one to make any recommendations, but when I was thinner (sigh), I did a lot of jump-roping, tennis, (you'll need a partner though - not fun by yourself), biking, and weights. I stayed away from running too much cuz my knees sux0r.

And what really helped me was eating correctly. 🙂

stress can also contribute to that stubborn doughnut around the midsection. excercise, relief from stress, and a better diet, it should vanish

80% oif what you look like is what you EAT!!!

You can do all the situps and crunches you want. As long as you're eating CRAP, you won't get the abs you want.

at 120 lbs I think I'd be trying to put some meat on your carcas. Othewise girls will be kickin yer a$$.

Won't jump rope just make that gut sack more? You need to be a man and do real sit-ups. 50 reps and 3 sets. Do that 3 times a day. You'll either break your back or you'll have iron abs.

notfreds girlfriend taking over: swollen stomachs of starving children is due partially to parasites, and partially to lack of protien in the diet. Protien is what regulates fluid balance in our bodies.
