What if the job was landed already in a big consulting firm without the MBA, and I am using it to advance later on? Would anyone's advice change?

Yeah average for the top 10 programs is 28-29ish

I know but by that age i will have 7 or 8 years experience under my belt, at that point the position im in might not allow this "weekend" time but of course I am speculating.

I'm quite certain this statement is false.

If anything I saw an article (the name of the magazine escapes me..U.S. News ?), but they even calculated and rated various mba programs in terms of ROI and payback period. Interestingly enough it actually found Harvard to be one of the worst in that sense (again I don't remember the exact specifics as they calculated various metrics, but this was the gist of it).

That is interesting, I wouldnt think that an MBA has a crappy ROI if you don't pay for it 😉
