exe file question...

i saw the joke exe file where it opens your cd-rom drawer for a cup holder..... i was wondering how they make those ?

very easy in VB. just sends a command to your hard drive. same thing as going to "my computer" and opening the driver from there

It just sends a hardware call to open your CD drive, which can be done in software. You actually physically need to close it though, if I remember correctly, because they don't allow programs to close it as a saftey precaution or something

Umm...it's not like you just type a command. You have to learn how to program VB first.
