Exclusive Xbox One Games in the next year?

I've been considering getting an Xbox one at launch just because. All the reviews are out now though and the only really worthwhile game appears to be Forza. Ryse looks terrible (gameplay wise), and Dead Rising 3 seems to be average at best.

Looking at game releases over the next year there doesn't seem to be anything too compelling for the Xbox one, especially since I already have a PC and a PS4.

Are there any games I'm missing that might be worth owning a One for over the next year?

Titanfall, Halo (eventually). I can't think of any others offhand, but I'm sure there will be some.

If you have a PS4, hold off for now. Titanfall and Halo are the biggies, but more will likely be revealed next May. Then you can make a better decision.

Unless you're just going to be dying to play Titanfall.

i probably wouldn't be getting one at launch if it didn't have killer instinct.

sounds like you've already made up your mind so just hold off until there is something you want to play on it.

I am basically just looking for excuses to get one at this point LOL. Even though I can't think of a logical reason to get one there's always the allure of having that shiny new toy the day it's available.

I'm waiting on both. I still have a bunch of unplayed games for PS2, PS3, 360 and PC. Plus it's almost time for the Steam xmas sale.

Wait until next xmas. Any launch issues in the OS will be ironed out, launch games will be discounted, there will be price cuts and/or a holiday bundle with free games.

Dead Rising 3 is probably a good excuse.

The original is what sold me a 360 Elite.

Hell for all I talk smack about "call of duty with swords" I'd probably get Ryse just to screw around with the new system as an exclusive launch title regardless how much it may or may not suck. See: Killzone and Knack.

I'd get one again but it's once bitten twice shy. I'll wait and see if it's going to be a diverse system or if they are going to cater exclusively to the NFL/UFC/CoD/Halo/GoW/Mtn Dew/Doritos/Axe body spray crowd again. I suspect the latter.

Xbox 360 was the wrong system for me in retrospect, despite my having 20+ games for it (many of them simply in spite of PC DRM starting with Bioshock). It's just that Sony screwed up so bad and took so damn long to catch up and the RPG/adventure genre itself just kinda died all around this generation.

Had every 2013 game for PS3 come out at launch I would have paid $599 many times over.

Then again there are still alot of good exclusives for 360 but they are REALLY pushing the bro demographic with the XBOne it seems.

Yeah my main concern with Xbox One is with the exclusives. I already have all the other systems (except the Wii-U which I am still waiting on) so unless there are some really compelling first party titles there for me there's not much point.

Looking over the list aside from Halo and the games we already mentioned like Forza, KI, DR3...I can't find anything compelling. If you're not sold at launch I don't think you'll be sold until a year or more. Probably better to wait.

Yep, all positives for waiting. Depending on how this gen plays out over this holiday season into next fall, you might even get a price drop, bundle, or both. Along with bugfixes, fleshed out feature set, etc.

It's weird to see people concerned about Xbox exclusives. I've approached the Xbone with a hefty amount of suspicion, and their exclusives are the only reason I didn't write it off as inferior. Forza, Halo, Titanfall, Dead Rising. Sony's only weakness IMO is it doesn't have strong answers to these.

Forza I am very interested in. In fact if I did get an Xbone it would be the only game I would pick up day 1. Halo I've never really cared for, Titan fall is coming to PC, Dead Rising looks OK, but I've heard the previous games were better. Sony doesn't have any huge games at the moment but we know Infamous, and Driveclub are coming. Plus Uncharted 4 has already been announced.

It sure does... Infamous, Uncharted, God Of War, spinoff of Jack and Dexter, killzone is excellent too.

Dead rising isn't exactly a system seller by any stretch. It's a second or third choice IMO. Halo perhaps getting long in the tooth and without Bungie at the helm...I dunno. Could go south in a hurry. Also don't forget that Titanfall is also a PC game.

I have a gaming PC and it's my first choice for cross-platform. I'm not interested in Forza or Halo so that leaves Dead Rising. I haven't gotten around to playing DR 1-2 yet and DR 3 isn't a system seller for me.

Glad I'm not the only one that hasn't had a chance to play DR 1 or 2 yet. The timer mechanic sounds really annoying to me. From what I've heard DR2: Off The Record removes this mechanic, so I may give it a shot at some point.

DR3 has no timer and the entire city is open from the get go.
