Exclamation error

I have a ME system running on a Dell Inspiron 8000

I have an internal CD ROM

I checked the Dell setup it sees the rom fine.

However when I try to use the drive after booting ME I cannot

I checked Device Manager.... There is a yellow exclamation mark on the device
Does anyone know what the IO range should be for such a device?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, The yellow exclamation/question character normally means that there is a problem with the drivers. Windows has the drivers. IO range should have no bearing. Go back to System Manager and remove the CD reader. Reboot and Windows should set it up again. If it still doesn't work the drive is probably bad. Luck, Jim
