Got this in the mail today:

Dear Member:

Effective immediately, ExchangePath is no longer available for online transactions.
This means that account holders will no longer be able to send and receive money
using the ExchangePath service. Therefore, we request that you access your account
to immediately withdraw all funds for transfer to a MasterCard, Visa, or Diners
credit card or to a bank account.

If your account is active and you have a positive balance - please follow these
steps to withdraw your funds:

1. Log in to your account from the ExchangePath web site (http://www.exchangepath.com).
If you do not remember your username and/or password and would like to receive this
information via email (to the email address on your account), click here

2. From the "My Account" page, click on the "Withdraw Money" link
3. Specify the amount to withdraw (You should withdraw ALL funds from your account.)
4. Specify to which account (bank or credit card) you would like to transfer the funds

PLEASE NOTE: ALL FUNDS MUST BE WITHDRAWN BY FEBRUARY 5, 2001.

If your account does not have a balance it will automatically be closed. We regret that
our service is no longer available for person-to-person payments and we sincerely thank
all of our members for their support.

Should you have any problems withdrawing your funds, please contact ExchangePath customer
support at customer.support@exchangepath.com.

Registered but never used it...I guess Paypal is still better for small time traders like me.:)

i tried them about a month ago and well they sucked! It was taking them a week to get the money in my account, where paypal does it in about 2 days, granted paypal charges 2.2% but i pass that on to the custo!

Likewise, registered, but never used them.

It's a good idea, but it takes truck loads of money floating from one account to another to make generate anything in between to operate on....then there's a bunch of cheapskates over on Anand's site :eek: that want all the services for free....Hey! That's me!!! :D

ExchangePath didn't last for too long. With their horrible service they didn't have enough transaction to make some sort of decent profit.

I don't see how they made any money. They gave $5 referrals and they did not charge for any of the CC transactions. CC transaction cost these business a lot of money.

For all you cheapskates out there (myself included), check out achex.com It allows you to send payment between your checking account and their checking account. There is no fee for the buyer or seller. ACH transactions only cost $0.20 for achex.com, so there are little charges for achex.com to worry about.
